ABOUT ME

My name is Theo Ross (they/he), and I am currently employed as a Communications Specialist at Wallis Annenberg PetSpace in Playa Vista, California. I have always had a passion for writing, and after writing for my high school newspaper, I felt like I found my calling.

I graduated from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. As a student there, I contributed articles to The Daily Trojan and Annenberg Media. While taking a nonfiction TV class as a senior, I developed an interest in documentary filmmaking.

My love of journalism permeates all areas of my life: I never leave the house without a pen and my reporter’s notebook in the event inspiration strikes or I have a spare moment to work on building out an existing story idea. I especially love working on long-term pieces, which is one of many reasons I want to be an investigative journalist.

When I’m not writing, you can usually find me out on a hike watching birds, in the moshpit at The Fonda, or at home playing video games with my partner. I’m a lifelong avid reader, artist, and animal lover, and I am always looking for new ways to combine my hobbies.

I hope you enjoy reading my work as much as I loved making it. To get in touch, please visit the Contact page of my site. I would love to hear from you!
